The food is really good and the staff are friendly

My family loves this place, always able to accommodate a large group of us. Food is amazing.

Great food at a very affordable price with a good variety of menu items and buffet selections.The owners, Sun and Chui really make you feel welcome. Best sweet and sour sauce I have ever tasted from.the Ottawa Valley to Edmonton, Alberta.They make dining an enjoyable experience.It's my go-to place in the Ottawa Valley.Aside: Their food is so good that as a treat for my son, I ordered a suitcase full and had it frozen, packed in ice and flown to Calgary as a surprise for him.He posted it to FB much to the envy of his friends who no longer live in the Ottawa Valley and are missing their favourite Chinese food.

I watched the cook take soup and wings from the buffet table and packaged rhe food for an order to go. After it sat there with a hundred hands touching it. Not fresh

It was ok it wasnt too busy but the server was incredibly slow, we ha 7 plates stacked up and had finished desert before our players were cleared and before being offered a refill on our drinks. The buffet was just about empty when we got there and the food that was there was old and cold. New fresh hot food came out about 20 mins after we got there and it was good. I find this place to be hit and miss, sometimes it's great other times you'd be better off going to McDonalds

These people the owners will throw a childish tantrum and refuse to pay an employee at their will. Not to mention the restaurant itself is old out dated and gross!

Delicious and wonderful service

Shanloon in Renfrew Ontario will NEVER let a foodie down. Awesome service and Great food. On slow nights they will cook as much as you eat. Best buffet in in Renfrew County.

Plaisently surprised ! I got there wednesday night 18h30 was expecting dry food at that time but i was hungry. Verry verry small buffet table and dirty carpet floor i almost return back to my car but i was on surval mode. I took a tables spoon of everyting hoping i would like someting and WOUHA! Everyting was tasty and flavourfull it was a delight ! I wonder if ot was just me being starving that makes tings bether but by the amount of peoples who whent there while i was eating i am pretty confident it wasent just me! PS :the restroom were verry clean 😉!

Decent small Chinese buffet. Cheap eats and can be busy. Staff are very friendly and the business supports the local community (charities, events, etc). Lots of parking. Would give five stars but food often looks/tastes like it sits for a while.

Always at least 4 or 5 GREAT vegetable dishes, food is always fresh VERY reasonable price for the buffet - and generous takeout portions. Poor reviews should be ignored! This place is amazing. Always a go-to when visiting town, or going by Renfrew

Good variety of food at a good price

The people there are very nice and conversational, a little less on the busiest night but that makes sense. The food is great, but I always come for the good service.

general tso's chicken here is amazing

Had a mix up with a pickup order, had to drive back to switch this happens was appalled when the waitress offered money off my order just to find out the waitresses would have to cover it themselves. Not cool if anything the business should have offered me a discount

We were there twice. Both times, the plates were ice cold. Almond soo guy with gravy? Never heard of it until we ate here. Rice was dry and tasted old. Deep fryer oil was old. Not a place we'd go back again. Would prefer McDonald's over this. Don't waste your money.

Although it's nothing to special, it's always a reliable place to eat. Consistent in flavor, quality and service. A regular stop for fast and yummy Chinese food.

Excellect foos

Food wasn't good and we prebooked for a ton of people - a week in advance and they still ran out of food often. Short staffed as well and the waitresses didn't come to serve us more water or see if we needed anything.

Wish there was more choices but we did only go for lunch. So maybe there is more options for dinner. DEM CHICKEN WANGS DOUh. The chicken wings were so fresh and hot and crispy delicious tender and I ate alot. Love the broccoli stuff... sesame chicken was good and so were the chicken balls. Fries were so GOOD extra crispy coating. Egg rolls were not the greatest. They had cheese for salads making but the lettuce was brown I just had a few chunks of cheese lol. Ice cream was basically walmart brand ice cream but great way to end a meal. But if you get their STRAWBERRY ice cream then that's the good stuff... it was seriously heavenly.Service was very good, kept up with water refills and clearing away your empty plates.Will be going again soon.

Consistently good quality and selection

The food is great but the buffet price is constantly going up and there is only one buffet table they should have more selection or lower prices

I was in with my spouse January 26 at 5 pm or so, the restaurant was busy. They still had approximately 8 tables left open so we seated ourselves. The buffet was always short of food. It seemed like they couldn't keep up with the demand. Our dinning experience was so so

Good lunch buffet. We arrived after the rush and a few of the pans were empty and food was not hot but tasted excellent. While we ate the pans were refilled and our second helping was much better. We eat at Shanloon everytime we gi to Renfrew.

Premium Oriental Style Canadian Buffet. Awesome Beef Noodles. Menu needs a shake up...Best within a half hours drive.

Great hot food great staff

I always go for the evening buffet! It's affordable, the food is delicious & there is an enormous variety of items to choose from. The only downside I seen was during rush hour & once tables started to empty, there wasn't enough staff on to clear them for incoming customers!

Very good restaureant highly suggest

Have continually had supper there and it's great but at noon the plates & food were cold and it was well below standards. Hopefully next time lunch will be better. Pembroke have 2 nice venues as well.
